    Full Conversions

Our Full Builds are complete, ground-up conversions that transform a vehicle from its original (OEM) state into a fully customized, purpose-built space. Whether it's a campervan, mobile business, living quarters, or specialty vehicle, we manage every aspect of the project from concept to completion.

Most full builds take 3–4 months to complete and typically range from $70,000–$130,000+, depending on the vehicle, systems, materials, and level of customization.

Full Builds are completed under a comprehensive contract with a structured payment schedule based on project milestones. This approach ensures a smooth, transparent process while allowing us to deliver the craftsmanship and attention to detail Coastal Conversions is known for.

    Partial Conversions

Our Partial Builds are perfect for clients who don't need a complete conversion but want professional help with specific phases of their project. From electrical systems, windows, and HVAC to remodels, layout changes, and interior upgrades, we tailor each project to your individual needs. The most common form is a "clean shell" where we build all the guts, and hand you a clean walled van ready for cabinets & accessories.

Partial Builds typically range from $20,000–$60,000 and can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks, depending on the scope of work.

Each project is completed under a clearly defined scope with a payment schedule based on the project's size and complexity. It's a flexible way to move your build forward while benefiting from the craftsmanship and expertise Coastal Conversions is known for.

    Repairs & Upfits

Our Repairs & Upfits are designed to enhance, repair, or expand the functionality of your vehicle—whether you're adding new features or addressing years of wear and tear. From simple upgrades to complex system installations, every project receives the same attention to detail as our full custom builds.

Common services include roof racks, ladders, windows, lighting, electrical upgrades, HVAC, towing equipment, cabinetry, plumbing, and general repairs. Most projects are completed in a few hours to several days, depending on the scope of work.

Repairs & Upfits are typically quoted as a fixed price based on labor and materials, with payment terms tailored to the size of the project. Because many of these projects are time-sensitive, we work to schedule them as quickly as possible and get you back on the road.

    Diagnostics & Consultations

Our Diagnostics & Consultations are designed to help identify problems, answer questions, and guide your next steps—whether you're troubleshooting an existing system or planning a future project.

We regularly diagnose electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other vehicle systems, including EcoFlow, Victron, and many other common campervan platforms. We also offer consultations for system training, upgrade recommendations, layout planning, and design advice.

All new clients receive a complimentary introductory consultation, along with one free 3D design and estimate for qualifying full or partial builds. Diagnostic services and extended consultations are billed hourly as needed.

Whether you're solving a problem or refining an idea, our goal is to provide practical, honest guidance backed by real-world experience.

Our Process

initial-consultation

Initial Consultation

Every great build starts with a conversation.

Before we ever begin designing, we take the time to get to know you, your goals, and how you plan to use your vehicle. We'll discuss everything from where you'll travel and how you'll sleep to power requirements, heating and air conditioning, water systems, storage needs, off-grid capability, campground hookups, towing, workspace requirements, and any other features that are important to you.

This discovery process helps us understand not just what you want to build, but how you'll actually use it—ensuring every recommendation is tailored specifically to your needs before we ever put pen to paper.

design

Design

Your vehicle is designed before it's ever built.

We bring your vision to life with a fully customized 3D model, allowing you to explore the layout, systems, cabinetry, and features before construction begins.

Because every component is modeled to scale, we use that design to calculate the materials and systems required, creating a detailed estimate based on your build—not a generic package or rough allowance. The result is a more accurate, transparent proposal tailored specifically to your project.

Once the design is approved, we'll finalize the build agreement, reserve your place in our production schedule, and collect the initial project deposit.

reserve-your-spot

Reserve your spot

Most projects require a deposit to cover the ordering of materials and major components, though deposit amounts and payment schedules vary depending on the scope of work.

Service work and smaller upfits are typically under $20,000, partial builds generally range from $20,000–$70,000, and full custom campervan conversions commonly fall between $70,000–$120,000+. Vehicle pricing is not included, as most clients provide their own chassis.

Contact us to discuss your project, and we'll help determine the best path forward, provide a realistic budget, and explain the process from start to finish.

sourcing

Sourcing

Every build starts long before the first tool is picked up.

Once your deposit is received, we begin sourcing the components that make your project unique. From windows, roof racks, HVAC systems, batteries, and appliances to cabinetry materials, flooring, hardware, and finishes, each item is carefully selected and ordered specifically for your build.

Because many specialty components have varying lead times, we begin procurement as early as possible—often before your vehicle even arrives at our shop. Throughout this process, we'll keep you updated on progress and remain available to answer questions, discuss options, and ensure everything is on track for your scheduled production date.

production-begins

Production Begins

This is where your vision becomes reality.

Once we've received your vehicle and all of the major materials and components are on hand, construction begins. Progress payments may be billed throughout the build, depending on your project's scope and payment schedule.

Most service work is completed in less than a week, partial builds are typically finished within a month, and full custom conversions generally take 3–4 months. Throughout the process, we'll keep you updated with progress photos and occasional social media sneak peeks—while saving the full reveal for the day you see your completed vehicle in person.

Delivery Day

The moment you've been waiting for.

Delivery day is one of our favorite parts of every project. We love keeping the finished vehicle under wraps until you see it in person, making the final reveal a truly memorable experience. We often include a few small finishing touches as our way of saying thank you for trusting us with your project.

After the reveal, we'll walk you through every aspect of your build—from the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to the operation of every feature and appliance—so you leave feeling confident and ready for your first adventure. And our relationship doesn't end there. We're always just a phone call or email away if questions come up, and every custom build is backed by our 1-year workmanship warranty (unless otherwise specified).
